This weekend, I went to my 4th My Morning Jacket show …. these guys continue to amaze me.  This show, though, was a bit unique, because they played their most recent album, Evil Urges, all the way through.

Every night leading up to this one, they had played another of their previous albums … love that concept and think more bands should try it.

After they played the album, they came back for a second set that included a few new songs as well as some pretty awesome covers (including Velvet Underground).

Finally, they went off again …. but the show wasn’t over … the came back and played a killer version of “One Big Holiday” — which is always a crowd favorite.  I didn’t expect anything off of the previous albums, but since it was the last night, I think they just decided to end with a bang … and they killed it …. it was incredible.

These guys are easily one of the best live acts out there right now …. if you ever have a chance to check them out — do it.
