Slow But Speeding
Ticketmaster — A new Era or just Luck?

Those that have either followed this for a while, or know me, know that I despise Ticketmaster and have serious issues with how they operate, etc.

Well — I’ve had amazing luck recently — let me explain.

Since knowing I was moving to NYC - there were two shows at the top of my list that I really wanted to see:  My Morning Jacket and Muse.

My Morning Jacket was taking 5 nights and playing one of their albums in full each night.  For weeks I tried to get tickets to any night and they were all sold out — “nothing available”.  Well, one day a week or so ago, I randomly tried again and was able to score 1 ticket, general admission, to the one night I really wanted to see.  Amazing.

Then just today - I logged into Ticketmaster to check on the upcoming Muse show — mostly I was using it as a portal to try for one of their overpriced scalped tickets.  I first, though, thought I’d try one more time … then … luck would have it … I scored a general admission ticket to this show!  Previously when searching for 1 ticket I could only get the upper upper nose bleeds … again AMAZING.

So, now this weekend — I have great tickets to two great shows I never thought I’d get tickets to … Ticketmaster, what’s going on?  You’re confusing me.
